We have to say this resort took us by surprise. The trend in Dubai when looking for hotels or resorts is to pick the newest as thats bound to have the best and most up to date facilities. Well this resort is not the newest but it is one of the most up to date and extensive to be found anywhere in Dubai.  This resort has some of the most immaculately kemp grounds we have ever seen and a full spectrum of facilities to cater for almost every whim including one of the  best restaurants in Dubai, Rhodes Twenty10.

The five star ‘Le Royal Méridien Beach Resort and Spa’ is found on its own section of beach alongside the pristine blue Arabian Gulf. It is billed as an oasis in the heart of Dubai, defining the word of luxury to the extreme with every aspect of this resort being of an innate memento to remain in the memory of its visitors. It is built in amongst 38 acres of lush landscaped gardens with an expanse of areas to walk amongst, to give you the true sense of being in paradise

A unique feature of this resort is that is has its own children’s ‘penguin club’ which cater to children’s needs who are aged between four and twelve years old. This is to allow the parents to be able to relax and leave their children in a secure area which gives ample peace of mind knowing they are safe. The parents are able to relax in the many activities available on the resort, which include Caracella, which is the Roman themed health club and Spa. The Spa has saunas, Jacuzzi’s, an aerobic centre, a well equipped modern gym and five Hammam Pools. There are many available beauty treatment rooms which offer more than enough treatments ranging from massages, aromatherapy, reflexology and many body and facial beauty options off of its spa and treatment menu.

Outside of the hotel you will find many other facilities such as the three outdoor pools that are temperature controlled, floodlit squash and tennis courts, supervised children’s club and many beach sports and games available such as windsurfing and kayaking to keep you occupied. Poolside food and drinks are available, and at night a number of restaurants open to fill the air with a luscious aroma of food that drifts across the resort that will draw you in to sample the tastes available.

There are 14 restaurants and bars to offer a diverse choice of food that will appeal to a lot of people, the cuisine choice ranges from Mexican, Italian to sensational seafood with a mix of Malaysian, Indonesian and Thai food. The emphasis on varied cultural food is a big part of what this hotel wanted to achieve to fit in with the many multicultural visitors to Dubai. As well as the infamous Rhodes Twenty10 that we have featured on our restaurants page, all the restaurants are visually appealing, with their clinical feel of cleanliness and great attention to detail. This is so blatantly obvious as soon as you step foot into any of them. You will not be disappointed in which ever restaurant you choose; however the most difficult choice is which one to choose to eat in.

The hotel has 500 rooms and suites which cater for virtually every type of traveller to Dubai. The accommodation is set in either the main hotel club or tower complexes. All of the bedrooms have sea facing views complete with balconies and panoramic windows. The rooms are furnished to a very high standard and invariably offer a choice of beds complete with sumptuously plump pillows and soft duvets. Complimentary fruit baskets are provided in your room and the bathrooms are finished off to an extremely high standard, complete with marble amenities and high end branded soaps. All of the rooms are laid out with the simple luxuries that make your stay welcoming, and the rooms come equipped with a 42” LCD television, DVD and CD player. Although all of the rooms are at the upper end of luxury, the ultimate in luxury is the butler serviced tower which comes with your very own butler service available to cater to your every need 24 hours of the day.

The suites are of a very high standard and reflect the effort and money that have been invested in producing a luxury hotel with amenities to match. The deluxe suite demonstrates the middle range of the standards available, just seeing a section of the suite below including the spectacular views shows the level of care, quality and individual touch that has gone into the design and feel of the whole hotel.

The resort also has excellent facilities to cope with banquets, conferences and weddings with the ability to hold and cater for groups of up to 1500 guests, with the added luxury of this being inside the wonderfully adorned hotel, or outside in the magnificent gardens of the resort.
