Bar 44, Grosvenor House Hotel, Dubai Marina

As with most named bars the name signifies where it is or in the case of a city of skyscrapers the floor that the bar is located on.   Bar 44 on the 44th floor of the Grosvenor House Hotel has an chic upmarket New York lounge vibe to its design. There are 44 different champagne varieties on offer and cocktails to beat all cocktails, try one of the unusual cocktails, Chocolate Laced Peach Martini.   You will also find a pianist playing live Jazz and Blues.

Bar 44 is an enormous area of deep leather bucket chairs and intimate seating areas, surrounded by floor to ceiling windows which give panoramic views of the city including, wonderful views of Jumeirah's palm-shaped island and Dubai Marina, which is a great way to chill out with a cocktail or two served by staff that are obviously trained to the highest standards, and with speed of service that means you wont have to wait too long for your refill. Whilst not the cheapest establishment to buy a drink in Dubai people are happy to get in a lift and travel 200 metres up to come here night after night, why?...    Because its one of the best bars in Dubai, thats why.

The New Asia Bar has an impressive prime position at the top of the pyramid shaped hotel complex, 18 storeys up at the Raffles Dubai Hotel. Like the beacon of a lighthouse this bar just shines out and oozes panache inviting you to visit this sophisticated location. If you want to come here for a quiet time and a drink that is exclusive, then you may just have found it. The views from this fantastic location are extraordinary with a fully panoramic view of the surrounding area to enjoy the nightly orange and red sky lit horizon.

The New Asia bar with its black marble floor and full height windows, enhance the spectacular views of the city’s skyline and has a three meter tall Polynesian Buddha statue in the centre of the circular bar, where the many bartenders are able to create for you in excess of over 100 cocktails including the aptly named creation the “Dubai Sling”.  What an array of alcohol and liquors there are to make these impressive cocktails, the bar sets the place alight with bartenders mixing and shaking so much so that you could watch this all night and sample a different drink every visit to the bar.

The surroundings are impressive for the hotspot. The relaxing bar is in line with the concept of Dubai itself,  contemporary and surrounded by the wow factor. With its impeccable taste and style this is a bar to visit each night. The R&B & chill out music makes the place seem like a nightclub.

This bar upholds it’s exclusivity with a casual/well dressed policy that is open only to hotel guests and well dressed clientele which bodes well for keeping the bar respectable and exclusive.

The most amazing views can be found at Neos bar on the 63 floor of The Address Hotel Downtown Burj Dubai. The bar has a mixed Art Deco and contemporary design to it that hits the spot for this bars chic patron. Given this bars striking black marble floors, yards of glittering chrome, fibre optics and the out of this world skyline outside you could be forgiven for thinking you have been whisked into the world of Blade Runner. 

We know it’s a cliché but this is a Must See and Be Seen bar for not only the trendy sophisticated amongst you but also as a must for any tourist wanting to have a few drinks and watch Dubai from new heights.

Just make sure you dress the part as this bar is set in a five star hotel and the bar expects its guests and visiting patrons to dress accordingly.

This bar has so many stars to watch; there’s the fabulous cocktails, the immaculately dressed wait and bar staff and then there’s the biggest stars of all the floor to double height ceiling windows giving you a panoramic view of the stars of the whole downtown Burj Dubai area including the Dancing fountains, Dubai Mall and of course the Burj Khalifa tower.

Ok so there are now several high view bars in Dubai but in our opinion this has the best mix and certainly the best views of any bar in Dubai.

The Cavalli club is found by a private entrance at the luxurious Fairmont Hotel. You will feel like a star when walking on the red carpet to the club, in between the velvet rope which sets the tone for your evening as you pass the boutique with unique RC accessories on sale.”Beautiful but expensive” is what the Cavalli club is described as, by the Italian owner Roberto Cavalli. His rumoured investment in this venture was $30m

The Cavalli Club has a capacity for 1,500 people. Inside the club it is adorned with Swarovski crystals embedded in the six metre-high walls that are lit up to show the crystal glare, from the ceilings are crystal chandeliers and the sparkle doesn’t end there, for the black quartz floor was  glaring  as much as the crystal.

The ‘RC’ insignia is very prominent around the club, from the curtains to the vodka bottles and adorned on the tables, so much so that you will have that initial etched in your mind long after you leave the club

Only the best DJ’s will perform music that ranges from pop flavoured hip hop to electronic  and house music on a suspended platform joined by dancers

On the upper level of the club you will find sensational food from an Italian restaurant and a wine bar at one end of the floor and a sushi bar on the other end, next door to that is the lounge and dance floor.
