Bars & Clubs
Sky Bar
360°
The DJ Magazine voted 360° at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel the 58th hottest club in the world, which just goes to show the reputation and following that this club has. Found at the end of its very own pier on the Arabian ocean you can enjoy stunning views of the coast line of Dubai and the wonderful sunsets that will have you marvelling at that rather than the Burj Al Arab that is in close proximity as well.

The bar tariff is not cheap but you get what you pay for in life, with the backdrop of the bar being like no other that you will possibly experience. As the waves lap under the pier and the sensuous sea breeze wafts around you, it will be relax you enough to allow you to sit and sip drinks or eats filling snacks on the voluptuous sofas, beach loungers or bean bags and just dream your time away or chill out whilst listening to the chilled out music played by resident and international DJ’s, along with their own mixes of the up to date popular international music. Some of the party animals relax in their own majlis (beach shacks) whilst enjoying the music food and drink

You are advised to book a reservation to ensure of your place here as the capacity is only 400 people, as this is an extremely popular and amazing place with the locals and tourists to come and socialise whilst taking in the warm nights and gazing in marvel at the star lit sky.

This really is the perfect summer night dance spot and a great place to see and be seen.

Vu’s Bar
High in the sky at over 1000 ft up, in the space age looking building of the Emirates Towers is VU’s  bar, and what a view you get at 51 storeys high, looking lovingly over the city of Dubai and the gulf of Arabia which gives you a sense of importance among the upper class people that surround you.

The clientele are a mix of wealthy locals and the endless stream of tourists and hotel guests coming to the “must go bar”. The bar is in a room that is pleasantly lit and the bar runs length ways down the room with an impressive amount of seating at each end, with tables and chairs by the windows that will allow you at the right time in the evening to see the sunset over the horizon, and the lights in the city beam out down below.

The bar serves an impressive array of over 200 cocktails mixed by professional bartenders, who seem capable of memorising the swanky cocktail menu and not having to look or ask what is in that drink. A speciality is the 51st floor house cocktail. Also offered at the bar are vintage cigars that the men generally smoke which fills the air with an impressive Cuban smell that is wafted away through the air conditioning that is thankfully permanently switched on.

The five star Jumeirah hotel has trained its staff to be effortlessly quick and precise in serving drinks, which is what contributes to the expensive price that these drinks cost as well as the location. Jumeirah prides itself on providing the best staff with the best training as this is what is expected of their consistently high standards.

If you want the best then the best comes at a price, but we think that the view and the standards on offer at this venue anyone can justify treating themselves to a visit to the Vu.  The standards of dress code state that men must wear collared shirts and casual trousers with full fitting shoes. This means as suggested, that trainers, sandals and shorts will not be allowed. The dress code is strict and you will not be allowed entry by the security unless the dress code is strictly followed.

The bar is found 200 meters above sea level so you can be guaranteed a fantastic view in extraordinary surroundings, the main aim for tourists or residents of Dubai is to actually say they have been in the Burj Al Arab, which is Dubai’s iconic building that is seen all over the world seen either on the news in the papers or on the internet.

Trying to get in by just walking off the street is nearly impossible, book first to guarantee entry into the most intriguing and elusive building in Dubai. If you do get in then strong cocktails are obligatory.

The staff at the Burj Al Arab treat everyone as millionaires as they don’t know any different from the many that pass through here so that is the given standards that they portray and put into practise, Afternoon tea is available each day with the exception of Fridays and even that is recommended to book in advance, this could be classed as an alternative to tea at Claridges or the Ritz in London with an array of different sandwich fillings, a selection of pastries and petit fours and about 50 types of specialised teas and coffees.

The bar takes on a more cosmopolitan vibe at night and is the destination for the well-heeled party set and diners looking for a sophisticated pre dinner drink.  The best views can be found during the day.

As always with this hotel the decor is not always to everyones liking, but then again you don't come to this bar for the decor; you come for the kudos of being at the Burj Al Arab and to take in the breathtaking views of the Gulf and the Palm & World Islands whilst sipping on some of the finest cocktails, Champaign and fine liquors to be found anywhere in the world.

Boudoir
Enter this bar as a couple and smartly dressed or you may not get in. Once inside this venue it will remind you of a French upper class chateau in the 1950’s draped in velvet, crystal chandeliers adorning the ceilings, oil painting scattered along the walls, rich materials and plump cushions accompanying the suave sofas.

Money seems no object to this expensively styled bar, reminiscent of the renaissance period of well to do French aristocracy when money was no object and played no part in the design. Boudoir is a unique bar in Dubai, which is easy to see why it is so popular.

This is a bar you must visit with its capacity set at 400 people, set in the Dubai Marine Beach Resort which opened in December 2003. This hot spot has more popular with the celebrities, the city’s elite and wealthy business men making a run to this bar. The clientele are mostly Lebanese with a mix of holiday makers wanting to taste this venue. This is partly due to the popularity and constant improvement of the sound systems and the feel to this place with its rich colours of decor and being “THE” place to be seen at. The sound system is as good as it gets in Dubai with the top rated DJ’s playing this place and filling the air with hip hop, funky house and up to date pop and rock music along with the local up and coming pop music.

Boudoir is fashionable, trendy and chic and that all too well describes the clientele that come here as well. Such is the success of this venue it is almost the first place people want to visit when coming to Dubai. Reviews in the world’s top bars charts rate this place highly which adds to the reality of people wanting to come here and see for themselves what the fuss and vibes are all about.

You will leave this place with that lovely comfortable feeling in your stomach, after arriving with butterflies in your tummy anticipating what you were about to experience similar to how you feel before going on a blind date. This is definitely worth visiting and the wait is well worth waiting for.
